Great variety, tasty sweets and excellent customer service.

I went into Johnson's Bakery to see about ordering a cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday. The owner was so friendly and sooo helpful. She asked what I was looking for and then shared a bunch of ideas for me to choose from. The cake was super delicious and turned out exactly like we wanted! We also got a few treats while we were there ordering the cake, super yummy! I can't wait to go back & to try their lunch!

Decent gluten free bread. Nice ham sandwich and service. Small place, noisy with a few groups. Organic teas. A mix of rural Texas and Austin (Bastrop was rural and increasingly is one of Austin's bedroom communities).

Best kept secret in Bastrop! Stumbled into this wonderful place one day - she really needs a better sign! She makes REAL Pop tarts!!! This isn't just a bakery either- there's an entire lunch menu! Love love love this local place!

I've tried a few things here, and it was great. The bread on the breakfast croissants is amazing. The bread for the sandwich is very good. The cheesecake cupcakes are great. I especially liked their cheesecake brownie. I expected it to be too sweet as most desserts like that are, but it was PERFECT. Just the right amount of sweet and creamy. Kudos Johnson's Bakery. You are delish!

My review from 6 or so months ago got deleted by someone. For my mother's birthday we bought gluten-free cupcakes from them and when I tasted them they were disgusting. They weren't up to the quality of the other gluten-free cupcakes that I had tasted from them. I had purchased a couple gluten-free red velvet cupcakes from that were decadent, soft, flavorful and that didn't taste at all gluten-free. I am a 17 year old chef that loves to bake and cook and that was truly one of my favorites to eat. But what we got for mothers birthday was not the same. The texture of the cupcake was grainy and tasted strictly of rice flour. It was dry and the frosting was chalky and had a bad taste to it. I know they can do better than this and I'm disappointed. I would recommend tasting it before you leave the store because if I was the one to have picked up the product I would have asked for half of the money I spent.

I am so glad I found this bakery! I drive from Austin just to visit! Absolutely love the cupcakes - daughter loves the cake pops! The kolaches are to die for! Even had a small cake made up for hubby's bday. Perfect size for 3. He LOVED it! Look forward to our visit every time! And looking forward to trying all of the other goodies they have to offer!

Friendly service. Tasty sandwiches and moderately priced. Potato soup very good. Great selection of pastries/cakes/ pies and other baked goods for your sweet tooth. Will definitely be going back.

The 2 tier cake I ordered for my daughter's 16th birthday was absolutely gorgeous! The cake was very detailed with pale gold edible glitter and pale pink fondant. I showed her a picture of what we wanted and she was able to replicate it perfectly. She was always prompt to return my emails and take my phone calls. She was professional and patient with all my questions and requests. She personally delivered the cake to my daughter's party. Everyone at the party was in love with the cake. Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious. I also thought her prices were very reasonable for a custom cake. I highly recommend Johnson's Bakery in Bastrop!

Yummy cake, wonderful customer service. We now use Johnson’s to order all of our cakes for birthdays, wedding showers and baby showers for our organization. You can’t beat the taste and quality. Also, ordered the standard lemon cake from the refrigerator and got rave reviews at my son’s birthday. So moist and tasty!

Ordered a cake for my nephew's bride to be's shower. Jennifer was so helpful! She was terrific.The cake was exactly what I wanted. Received so any compliments from the guests. I was pleasantly surprised at how moist the cake turned out, since it was naked.I also ordered cookies decorated as a bride's dress. They were so pretty and the flavor was delicious.Lastly, I ordered a heart shaped cookie tarte. It exceeded my expectations! It was beautiful.Can't thank Jennifer and staff enough for helping make the shower a total success!Highly recommended by me!

Very beautiful and delicious wedding cakes and cupcakes. Great flavors and very moist. Many cakes are dry and just average taste. We send home so much uneaten wedding cake. Not with Johnson Bakery! This is one of the BEST vendors we have found for cakes and cupcakes. We are proud to say Johnson Bakery is one of our fine preferred vendors. First time ever eating their fantastic food

The BEST birthday Mail box cake we have ever had. My son and ALL my guests LOVED it. Thank You Thank You Thank You. It was a citrus tangerine cake cream cheese frosting We will be back for sure. I made sure everyone knew it was from yall's place.

I have used Johnson’s bakery to do dessert (and sometimes poppers) for four different parties now and each time has been great!I love that you can do orders online and pay on advance, making pick up super easy. Any questions, just email or call! They will also do totally custom items like dairy free cakes and these cupcakes/cookies I got for a Die Hard movie themed party.

They made a cake for my wife's 30th birthday! It came out just as I imagined. It was a yall cake with photos of her going around the sides of the cake showing age progression ! Thank you for the highlight of the day !

We ordered our daughter an Elmo cake for her birthday. It was better than the picture we provided. And the cake was delicious. I wouldnt think of going to another bakery from here on out.

Outstanding bakery!!

Such an awesome bakery with even better customer service! I placed an order for 40 DOZEN cake pops the week before Valentine's Day- in need of them within 5 days, and Jennifer (the owner) made it happen. When I picked up my order- Jennifer made sure that everything was correct and helped me to my car. The cake pops looked absolutely adorable, and tasted even better! I would highly recommend this small town business to anyone in the market for a sweet treat!
